A father of two

I haven’t posted anything here for a couple of weeks now. And for good reason: on the 5th of May, I became a father again.

Jack William Clements was born at home in the water (as planned) at 7.05pm into the loving arms of his mother. He was 9lbs 11oz and measured 22 ¼” long.

It’s been a busy couple of weeks since then and I’m very much still getting used to looking after a newborn again. And parenting two children is definitely more than twice as hard as parenting a single child. But, it’s so worth it. He’s very different than Ellie was and we’re still trying to figure out who he actually looks like, but seeing him grow, change, learn, take in the world around him and smile is a delight. I imagine that before I know it, Jack will be as old as Ellie is today and I’ll be wondering how the time passed by so quickly and how I have a 2-year old and a 4-year old. Crazy.
