Christmas in Brighton

Me and my family are spending three weeks in the UK for Christmas, and we’re really enjoying ourselves.

I’m having a particularly great time, seeing old friends and family and scratching the itch of the love for my home city: Brighton.

This picture of North Laine (Gardner Street) has many elements of what I love about Brighton: beautiful sunset, Christmassy decorations, quirkiness abound (see the legs on the cinema from the old Duke of York cinema) and hustle and bustle.

  1. 3 weeks ! I was only there one week over xmas… I walked past the legs many times.. but never noticed them ! Must be all the Brighton pubs affecting my vision :-)
    Nice picture.

    1. Haha, clearly it was! I actually didn’t notice them until the second time I walked past, when I realised that they were from the old Duke of York’s, which I knew had shut down a few years ago.
