Primal Pit Paste: my new deodorant

I’ve been using big standard deodorants since I was old enough to need them. Since moving to hot and humid Florida, I’ve even upgraded to the more “clinical strength” versions to help out in the height of summer.

However, since reviewing our lifestyle lately and moving to more organic and chemical-free options, a new deodorant was next on my list.

For Christmas, I bought Martina a three-month to the Vegan Cuts beauty box, and just this past month, she got a sample of Primal Pit Paste deodorant. She tried it herself and enjoyed it, but knowing I myself was in search of a new deodorant, she offered it up to me to try out.

The deodorant comes in a jar, and is in the form of a paste, which you massage into your armpit. It goes a long way and you only need a pea-sized amount under each pit.

By the end of day 1, I was sold. I took my shirt off and hesitantly got my nose in there for a good old whiff.

Nothing. Just the faint remnants of the lemongrass and thyme fragrance of the deodorant.

Primal Pit Paste is a blend of simple and recognisable ingredients, including shea butter, baking soda and essential oils.

I’m now intrigued to try the other smells and also get a jar of their “Strong” version in preparation for some more trying summer days, though I’m somewhat confident that their regular stuff may well be adequate enough for me.
