Most food blogs are very much the same: just putting up your nice recipes that you just mastered and sharing them with the world. Thug Kitchen is nothing like that. Which is why I love it so much.

Thug Kitchen is a vegan food blog, that doesn’t pull any punches. The site’s tagline just about sums it up: “Eat like you give a fuck”.
It’s an extremely honest and downright brutish way of looking at veganism, why it’s awesome and why these recipes are going to rock your world. And the humour just makes it a real pleasure to read. For example, in discussing one of the recent recipes about frozen fruit popsicles, here was the accompanying introduction:
It’s hotter than fuck outside. Cool down with these sweet sons of bitches, because standing in front of the fridge door ain’t doing a damn thing.
I think you’re starting to get the picture. I’m an instant fan of the writing style, because it’s just straight to the point and funny, albeit in a vulgar fashion. And I love that it’s a vegan blog with an attitude. About time veganism got its profile raised.
I’m very much looking forward to making some of these “bitchin'” recipes.
